SWFL Potters Guild is dedicated to increasing awareness and appreciation of the ceramic arts in Southwest Florida, and enhancing the skills of local potters.

Ceramics is one of the oldest art forms – people have been working with clay for thousands of years. Whether you are a beginning potter or a ceramic artist with years of experience, there is always something new to learn – new tools, new glazes, and new firing methods. Southwest Florida Potters Guild will provide its members educational workshops, access to unique ceramic firing processes, and opportunities to display and sell their work. As a collective, we will increase members’ ability to interact with local and national artists, make kilns available for firing, and foster an all-inclusive environment to empower ceramic artists. In addition, we will be engaging in fundraising to build a Manabigama Wood Fire Kiln in the Punta Gorda, Florida area to allow all members to experience this community-centered firing process.

         Congratulations!!

to Kristin Haeckel for her runner-up placement in the "Midrange Stroke & Coat Contest" with the Mayco Mud Room Society.
